PIEDMONT — A 26-year-old Easley man died Thursday after losing control of his vehicle.

Nicholas Adam Dillon, 26, of 307 Hamburg Road, Easley, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred at 5:20 p.m. on Old Williamston Road, according to Lance Cpl. Scot Edgeworth with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred on Old Williamston Road, six miles west of Piedmont, when Dillon lost control of his 2002 Chevy Blazer, which went off the right side of the road.

Edgeworth said Dillon over-corrected and the vehicle went off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

Dillon was unrestrained and was ejected from the vehicle, said Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore.

The accident occurred less than mile from the Budweiser plant where Dillon worked, Shore said.

Dillon leaves behind two small children, Shore said.
