Elaine Durham Porter, her husband, Dale, along with Cheryl Frazier and her husband, John, cut a ribbon for the grand opening of Los Poblanos Mexican restaurant on Main Street in Six Mile Friday. The restaurant has be open since late November. Elaine Porter owns Durham’s Convenience Center that provides country style meals. “I wanted to try something different, so I researched on the Internet what would be best,” Porter said. “Japanese and Mexican restaurants came to the top of the list of most popular, so I decided on Mexican.” She supervises Los Poblanos while operating Durhams. Frazier manages Los Poblanos along with a team of Latina cooks. Dramatic interior design elements include hand-painted details like the dancer painted by Easley artist Rita Ball.
