LIBERTY — The Red Devils’ season came to a close on Friday night with the 37-12 victory over Carolina Academy. And although there will be no post-season appearance for Liberty for the 2015 season, fans were pleased their team went out on a high note.

With a record of 3-7 and 2-5 in region, Liberty finished fifth in the 8 team AA Region I standings, beating out both Landrum and Carolina Academy.

Coach Kyle Stewart brought the Red Devils to a state ranking of 188 this season, a fall from last year’s standing of 161 and overall record of 4-6.

In the off season, Liberty will be looking to rebuild the effectiveness of their offense while continuing to maintain their solid D line.

Returning several upper classmen to key positions will help the Red Devils to more firmly establish themselves as a team that needs not only needs to be prepared for thoroughly by opponents, but taken as a serious threat.
