Clemson police need help finding suspect

CLEMSON – The Clemson City Police Department needs the public’s help to locate a Pickens man who attacked a woman outside her apartment on Aug. 9, dragged her inside and choked her until she was unconscious.Police Chief Jimmy Dixon said they are looking for Charnel Wayne Johnson, a white male described as being 5-foot-11 and weighing 175 pounds. His last known address was in the city of Pickens.According to reports, a female reported she was outside of her apartment at Falls Landing Apartments on Old Central Road when someone came up behind her and dragged her into the apartment. The incident happened around 8:45 p.m.
