Palmetto names new athletic director, football coach WILLIAMSTON –Doug Shaw has been named athletic director and new head football coach for Palmetto High School.
Shaw, currently assistant athletic airector, head football coach and physical education teacher at Mauldin High School in Greenville County, has been at Mauldin for seven years.
He was named the Big 16 Upstate Coach of the Year in 2009.

Hundreds visited several dozen booths in downtown Six Mile Saturday to find barbecue, crafts, home baked goods and to learn about Cherokee traditions and the ability of the Six Mile Fire Department in addition to watching local dance class students and clown acts. Easley football makes spring debut EASLEY—A new look Green Wave squad is aiming for even more success in 2013.
The Easley High football team is coming off a 9-3 season in which it lost its head coach and several contributing seniors.
Current Easley Coach Grayson Howell said, however, the team still has a championship in mind.
“We’ve got a lot of kids that have some ability and I’m excited to watch them develop and grow,” Howell said. “We’re ready to get to work.”
