EASLEY — QT Store number 1121 located at 4855 Calhoun Memorial Highway opened yesterday.
The location is across from Town Center and the Wal Mart Super Store in Easley.
“This is the 1st location in Pickens County and the 20th in our new Carolinas division,” said Mike Thornbrugh, Manager of Public and Government Affairs for QuikTrip.
“This has been the most aggressive and quickest growth for a new division in QT history,” said Thornbrugh. “Our store development team and operations department have shattered all expectations, and they are not slowing down.” QuikTrip has another 17 new stores under construction in both North and South Carolina.
The rapid growth has allowed QuikTrip to employ nearly 400 people. “As we continue to expand, the opportunities to grow and succeed with QT are tremendous,” said Thornbrugh.
QuikTrip is a privately held corporation based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. QuikTrip is well known as a premiere marketer of motor fuel and convenience store merchandise. The company currently owns and operates 638 retail outlets in 11 states. Forbes magazine ranked QuikTrip as the 33rd largest privately held corporation and Fortune magazine listed QuikTrip as one of the best companies to work for 10 years in a row in 2012.
