EASLEY—An Easley man was arrested last week after police say he lured a girl into a wooded area and sexually assaulted her.
Jerry Edward Dudley, 42, was charged with kidnapping, criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 11 years of age and abuse to inflict great bodily injury upon a child on Dec. 28, 2012.
Deputies of the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office responded to 332 Apple Hill Road, Easley, in regard to a complaint of criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
Investigations indicate a minor female child had been enticed away from the home into a wooded area nearby and sexually assaulted by Dudley, reports say.
Police reports stated Dudley struck the victim repeatedly with a closed fist after she attempted to escape.
Dudley was living at this address on Apple Hill Road and is actively listed on the South Carolina Sex Offenders Registry.
The minor child was treated for her injuries received from this assault at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
At press time, Dudley was incarcerated at the Pickens County Detention Center and has been denied bond at this time.
