EASLEY — For nearly a decade, O.J.’s Diner has been tantalizing the taste buds of Greenville area residents with its southern cuisine and signature, homemade banana pudding. Since opening a second location off Highway 123 in Easley more than a year ago, its family-owned tradition has continued to spread across the area.
Gregory Johnson owns and shops for both restaurants. So when the new Easley Sam’s Club opens at 309 Rolling Hills Circle in Easley Town Center on June 27, Johnson believes his job is going to become a lot easier and his gasoline bill will be getting smaller.
“All these years, I’ve been driving more than an hour to get to Sam’s Club and back,” Johnson said. “Now, it’s going to be just five minutes away. I’m at Sam’s Club buying milk, cheese, bananas, vanilla wafers, seasoning, and more almost every day, so I’m thankful for the layer of convenience this new club adds.”
“We’re very eager to open our doors and begin better serving local business owners like the Johnson family and O.J.’s Diner,” said club manager Brandon Cox. “We’re committed to our Members and this community. We go as far as sending one of our associates to work for a day alongside a business owner, just so we can better serve them and understand their needs.”
The more than 600 Sam’s Club locations across the country serve thousands of small businesses like O.J.’s Diner. Clubs open at 7 a.m. to allow small business owners opportunities to shop early and get a jump on their busy days. An innovative “Click ‘n’ Pull” program allows business owners to submit orders online by 5 p.m. and their items will be waiting for them the next morning.
