LAVONIA, Ga. – Several Pickens County and Anderson County anglers fared well last weekend in the Walmart Bass Fishing League Savannah River Division tournament of 2014 on Lake Hartwell.
Brandon Cobb of Greenwood, S.C., won the tournament with a five-bass limit totaling 18 pounds, 1 ounce. For his victory, Cobb earned $6,807.
In the pros, Brock Taylor of Pendleton came in second with five bass weighing 17 pounds, 15 ounces and took home $2,253 for his effort.
Jayme Rampey of Liberty came in third with five bass weighing 16 pounds, 2 ounces, taking home $1,502 for his efforts and a $300 Evinrude Bonus.
Randy Childers of Anderson brought in five bass weighing in at 15 pounds, 5 ounces to take fourth place and $1,052.
Brad Fowler of Pendleton rounded out the top five with five bass weighing 14 pounds, 3 ounces. He took home $901 for his efforts.
Craig Sahms of Taylors was sixth with five bass weighing 14 pounds, 2 ounces and took home $826; Rogers Vinson of Flowery Branch, Ga., won $751 for his five bass weighing 13 pounds, 1 ounce; and Michael Anders of Pelzer and David Williams of Maiden, N.C., tied for eighth with five bass totaling 13 pounds, 1 ounce, and each took home $638. Troy Morrow of Eastonollee, Ga., rounded out the top 10 with five bass weighing 13 pounds. He took home $526 for his efforts.
Dererk Savage of Port St. Lucie, Fla., weighed in a five-bass limit totaling 12 pounds, 10 ounces to win $2,253 in the co-angler division.
