Oconee County Sheriff's Office deputy Charles Mulwee was honored May 30 for his volunteer work at Northside Elementary School. Mulwee was attending an award ceremony when Principal Geoff Smith and Assistant Principal Karen Black asked him to come up and receive an award before the parents and grandparents assembled there. Mulwee also volunteers to students at Blue Ridge and Ravenel Elementary schools.
