PICKENS – The eighth annual Pickens Women Association Azalea Festival 5K Run/Walk will be held April 19 with a start time of 8 a.m.
The course will begin at the corner of North Lewis Street and Main Street and will wrap through the side streets of downtown Pickens, around the grounds of Cannon Hospital and back to downtown, crossing over Main Street and ending at the new amphitheater.
“We are very excited to have our race return to downtown Pickens,” said Kay Rentz, chairwoman of the PWA Race.
The course is certified by U.S. Track and Field.
Participants can pre-register at www.pickensazaleafestival.org. Registration will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 18 near the Main Street Stage beside the Courthouse in downtown Pickens.
