PICKENS — Schools in Pickens County and Anderson County will operate on a two-hour delay Tuesday, Jan. 7, because of the extreme cold weather. Classes will begin at 10 a.m. in both counties.

Also, morning 4K classes are cancelled in Pickens County. Afternoon 4K classes will continue as normal. Employees will report to work at their normal times.

The purpose of the delay is to allow it to warm up outside before children have to wait at their bus stops.

In Anderson County, there will be no K3 or K4 sessions in the morning. An Edulink message was sent to parents/students as well.
