EASLEY — Easley First Baptist Church is currently under a new building project and on Sunday the church voted to merge its Child Development Center with the Geer Memorial Baptist Church CDC.
This collaboration is set to take place no later than Dec. 23. The combined center will be located in Geer Memorial space.
“The decision came after months of research, planning and prayer,” said Cheryl Banks, current director of the FBC CDC. Banks will take over as director of the combined center.
“Mrs. Barbara Brock, current GMBC CDC director, has served faithfully for 40 years, and before this move was discussed, she had announced her retirement,” Banks said.
“We are diligently renovating their existing spaces and are super excited,” Banks said. “We feel God’s richest blessings on this merger and are so thrilled to have the opportunity to continue this ministry for the children of Easley! More details such as new logos and websites will be coming soon.”
