LIBERTY — A new year has provided some much-needed equipment for the Liberty High School athletic department.

The department is utilizing a new training table, along with some new equipment this fall with the help of Baptist Easley Hospital, and Liberty High Athletic Director Sherry Haithcock said the programs could not be more satisfied.

“Liberty High’s athletes will benefit from having this table for use in evaluating injuries,” Haithcock said. “We are very thankful to Baptist Easley for their continued support as we try to get the supplies needed for our athletic trainer.”

Haithcock said the school has been working closely with Baptist Easley in the past few months. The hospital donated the table along with other supplies to help stock the training room for the coming year, according to Haithcock.

Haithcock said the new table will allow Brandon Manley, Liberty trainer, to have a safe place to evaluate athletes during contests that occur outside.

The table will be used at home and away football games and other home outdoor events, according to the athletic director.

Haithcock said Baptist Easley’s donations have helped tremendously in the schools efforts to create a safer environment for athletes.

“The partnership we have established with Baptist Easley has been a wonderful addition to the community support we have and is certainly appreciated,” Haithcock said.
