ANDERSON – Four Greenville siblings charged with stealing puppies from the Anderson County PAWS facility have been charged in connection with a recent burglary in Pelzer, according to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
Kenneth Frank Lewis, 22; Randle Blake Lewis, 20; Cassidy Lynn Lewis, 19; and Taylor Brooke Lewis, 17, were charged April 1 with third-degree burglary and petit larceny. Bond was set at $8,000 for each. The address listed for all four was 441 Roe Road in Greenville.
Perry Jacob Sprayberry, 20, of Piedmont was also charged in the incident. Sprayberry was released on bond April 2.
According to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, the four Lewis siblings and Sprayberry broke into a storage building on Stewart Drive in Pelzer on March 26 and stole a welder valued at $250. Within an hour of stealing the welder, they attempted to sell it to a scrap metal dealer in Greenville.
The dealer refused to buy welder because he suspected it was stolen. The Lewis siblings and Sprayberry left the dealership, leaving the welder behind. The welder was returned to its owner.
