EASLEY — A 19-year-old Greenville woman was arrested for breaking into an Easley home on Diwa Drive and stealing money and jewelry valued at more than $2,000.

Jodie Delaine Crenshaw of 112 Mason St. was picked up by the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office without incident at an Easley residence after witnesses spotted her at the scene of the crime on June 18.

Pursuant to their investigation, sheriff deputies discovered several pieces of the stolen jewelry at a pawn shop in Greenville County. Based on witness statements and pawn shop receipts, an arrest warrant for Crenshaw was issued.

“She (Crenshaw) was positively identified by a witness (and) was seen at the residence on the day it was burglarized,” said PCSO Chief Deputy Creed Hashe.

Crenshaw is currently in the custody of the Pickens County Detention Facility awaiting arraignment on charges of second degree burglary and grand larceny. Bond on both charges was set at $7,500 surety.
