Candidate forums scheduled

PICKENS COUNTY — The Clemson League of Women Voters has announced that several candidate forums will be held at various locations throughout the county, with the first one set for May 5 for Pickens County Council candidates in Districts 3, 4 and 6.

The forum will begin at 7 p.m. in the William A. Carr Room, 135 Folger Ave. in Easley. Candidates scheduled to attend include Randy Crenshaw, Jimmy Davis, Wes Hendricks, Alex Saitta, Roy Costner, Keith Culbreath, Neil Smith, Carl Hudson and Daniel Lee.

The second forum, for candidates for the S.C. House, will be held at 7 p.m. May 9 in the same location. Candidates scheduled to attend include Gary Clary, Travis McCurry, Davey Hiott, Joey Lum and Neal Collins. Rick Tate declined to participate.

The third forum, for candidates for State Senate District 2, will be held at 7 p.m. May 16 at Hampton Memorial Library, 304 Biltmore Road in Easley. Candidates scheduled to attend include Don Joslyn, Larry Martin, Rex F. Rice and Allan Quinn.

The next forum, for candidates for Pickens County Council District 5, will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. May 23 at Hampton Memorial Library in Easley. Candidates scheduled to attend include Mitch Bagwell, Chris Bowers, Robert H. Sams, Harley Staton and Jeff Willis.

The final forum, for State Senate District 3, will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. May 26 in Cox Hall at Clemson Little Theatre, 214 S. Mechanic St. in Pendleton. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Candidates Kevin Bryan and Carol Burdette have committed to attending.
