Gray

ANDERSON — Cole Brooks Gray, 33, of Anderson, was taken into custody last week following his fourth attempt to elude police.

Around 4 p.m. Dec. 16, a deputy saw a black motorcycle exit a residence on Jasmine Drive, leaving at a high rate of speed. He recognized the individual as Cole Gray and was aware that Gray had several outstanding warrants.

The deputy attempted to stop the vehicle but Gray fled the area. He reluctantly came to a stop on Highway 187 South, when other deputies joined the pursuit.

Gray was transported to the Anderson County Detention Center where he was served with 14 warrants and citations from this and previous incidents: four counts each of failure to stop for blue lights and driving under suspension (third or subsequent) and one count each of second-degree assault and battery, manufacturing/possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, simple possession of marijuana, unlawful carrying of a weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He remained in the Anderson County Detention Center on Monday on bond.
