CENTRAL — The Daniel High School Class of 1965 recently held its 50th high school reunion and as a part of their time together, Daniel High School bookkeeper and Foundation Board Member Ute Tuner gave these alumni a tour of the current school building that opened in 2012.
Those in attendance enjoyed the tour as well as reminiscing and sharing stories about their time at the old Daniel High School. Daniel alumni were encouraged by the Reunion Planning Committee to “leave a little something behind” to benefit the school and its teachers and students.
The 40 alumni in attendance gave donations totaling $2,720. The check presentation took place on Oct. 1.
The Daniel Foundation is an active nonprofit support group composed of parents, teachers, and members of the community that hopes to provide $10,000 this year to meet the request for funds that help fund technology needs, student leadership efforts and competitions, faculty requests for classroom needs, and more.
