PICKENS — Get your Halloween started early by visiting the Pickens County Museum of Art & History from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 31 for treats, popcorn, and a costume contest. Be scary, serious, funny or goofy — everyone is welcome.

The Museum is partnering with Cannon Hospital and the City of Pickens for all of the Halloween fun and festivities. Are you going to be Elsa or Olaf? Maybe a Minion or Gru? Do your despicable best, and stay for our Costume Contest at 4:30 p.m. Prizes will be handed out for all winners.

Plenty of parking is available and Main Street is only two blocks away.

The program is part of the museum’s continuing effort to provide a variety of entertaining and educational programming for the community.

The Pickens County Museum of Art & History, 307 Johnson St. in Pickens, is funded in part by Pickens County, members and friends of the museum and a grant from the South Carolina Arts Commission, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts.

The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays; 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays; and 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Saturdays.
